Who knew math centers could be so much fun!?
Block Work-Kprep Morning
During our first day of school we explored building blocks for math. It is through actual work with blocks that children become aware of the structure of various kinds of blocks and their geometric attributes. As a class, we compared, sorted, and arranged our blocks according to shape and size. This helped us to develop a clear notion of the similarities and differences between the blocks. Then we used our brilliant math brains to build mini cities all throughout our classroom.
