Windy Day?-Kprep Morning

Make a wind sock! We learned that a wind sock, also called a wind cone, shows both the direction and speed of the wind. The direction of the wind is shown when the wind blows into the open end and the tails point the way the wind is blowing. If the sock is pointing to the west,, then the wind is coming from the east. If the sock is flapping about gently then the wind is only light, whereas if it sticks out in a straight line then the wind is much stronger. As our luck would have it, we made these on a perfectly windy day!
