One-to-one correspondence is a foundational math skill for preschool aged students. It can take months for preschoolers to master this skill. For this reason, we provide plenty of varied opportunities to practice. To practice at home, have your student count their fingers and toes, touching each one as they count aloud. Try counting all the animals in a book. Cover the numbers 1-5 with the corresponding amount of stickers. Count all the trees or cars you pass on a walk.
