Sensory play is part of the scientific process. During their time at the sensory table children develop a question, leading them to investigate by grabbing, smelling, listening, rubbing, and looking. They are using their senses to collect data and from that, attempt to answer their own questions. The sensory table stands as an open invitation for hands-on exploration. As if that isn't enticing enough, this time around our bin was filled with creepy Halloween materials. We could have stayed there all day long!
