Through books, videos and research we learned that advanced insects like butterflies and moths go through a "complete" life cycle. This means that there are four separate stages, each of which looks completely different and serves a different purpose in the life of the insect. Using pasta to represent the four stages, we were able to show what we know. There isn't a better way to learn about science than with multiple resources and a wide variety of hands on activities.
