Developing the skills to rhyme is an important part of pre-reading. Research shows that students benefit from direct instruction on rhyme recognition. Because Dr. Suess makes learning rhymes fun, exciting, and silly we spent a whole week practicing. We used the book There's a Wocket in my Pocket as inspiration for this silly game.
