Recognizing that a large pile of candy is more than a little pile of candy is obvious even to very young children. However, a deeper understanding of the concepts of more and less develops gradually. To truly understand more and less, children need to be able to think about and consider these inverse relationships. Our math lesson today provided an opportunity for students to experience the concept of more or less first hand.
